On Saturday, I’m takin’ off for Scout Camp with the boys. That begins a whole month of vacation! It’ll feel real nice to be not working for a month. Hopefully I’ll be able to wrap up my work before I go. We were planning to do some backpacking, but I think we’re not prepared for it and it’s gonna be so hot down there in Utah and Arizona that we may just do car camping and day hikes. That should be pretty sweet though.

Two Thanksgiving miracles happened in BYU sports this weekend:
- BYU wide receiver Austin Collie got behind the Utah secondary on a 4th and 18 with less than 2 minutes to go in the annual rivalry game on Saturday.
- KSL’s 1160 AM radio signal managed to bounce off the atmosphere all the way from Salt Lake City to my car driving through the Mojave Desert outside of Barstow, allowing me to imagine for a moment what sports must be like in the Celestial Kingdom: to beat Utah, win the MWC football title and upset the #1 basketball team in the same day.
